Financial Services Audit Senior

growth annually and is the 5th largest international accountancy
network globally. In Ireland, Grant Thornton is regarded as the
accountancy firm with the biggest organic growth and our audit
department has grown extensively across all seven offices. Within the
audit department, our financial services division has experience
exceptional growth and specialises in providing auditing and assurance
services to the following market sectors:asset

management - hedge funds, private equity funds, investment
managersinsurance companies - general insurance, re-insurance and

Arising from this growth we are seeking to strengthen our existing
financial services audit team with the addition of audit seniors to
meet the needs of current and future clients.

Outline

You will be self-motivated, capable of working on your own initiative
and have the ability to plan, control and complete audit engagements.

Duties & responsibilities

Participate in performing statutory audit, from planning to completion
stage

Design and organise assurance work in accordance with the engagement
plan

Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk
management) and external (regulatory) requirements

Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information and to resolve any
audit queries

Investigate all audit issues to arrive at a solution or proposed
solution

Review financial statements in accordance with current accounting
standards

Draft reports covering financial statements, client business issues,
systems and controls and other issues

Assist with concluding documents including drafting the audit opinion
and the audit findings report

Position requirementsqualified accountant with experience in
auditexperience in the financial services industry is
requiredexcellent communication skillsstrong technical
