Leitrim Volunteer Centre: Placement Officer & Administrative Assistant
Leitrim Volunteer Centre is a community organisation set up to promote
and support volunteering in County Leitrim. The centre now invites
applications for the following posts.

PLACEMENT OFFICER

(**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK)

The role will involve working to recruit volunteers for a wide range
of voluntary organisations and groups in Co Leitrim, ensuring that
volunteers are matched to a volunteering opportunity suitable to their
skills / interests and providing support to voluntary groups to
develop their volunteer programmes and volunteer management practices.

The Placement Officer will be responsible for promoting volunteering,
interviewing potential volunteers, maintaining accurate records,
developing the skills and capacity of voluntary groups and
organisations in Co. Leitrim, and supporting the Manager in the
implementation of the Leitrim Volunteer Centre workplan.

Candidates should have at least two years? experience in a similar
post and a recognised third level qualification in Community
Development or an appropriate equivalent. Candidates should
demonstrate a commitment to volunteering, excellent communication and
IT skills, a thorough approach to administrative tasks, a flexible and
adaptable attitude, enthusiasm and a friendly manner.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Administrative Assistant will support the Leitrim Volunteer Centre
team in delivering an effective and efficient Garda vetting service to
groups in Co. Leitrim as well as assisting with administrative and
clerical support to ensure effective and efficient administrative
operations in the Centre. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

* 1 Year Administrative Experience
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to focus on the task
at hand within a busy working environment.
* Have excellent administrative and IT Skills.
* Possess the requisite knowledge, skills and competencies to carry
out the role.
* Be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high
standard.
* Excellent time management, planning and organising skills.
* Knowledge and competency in financial management using manual and
computerised systems.
* Personal accountability, discretion and integrity.
* Fluency in English.
