Kilkenny Volunteer Centre: Placement Officer
Kilkenny Volunteer Centre is a community organisation set up to
promote and support volunteering in County Kilkenny. The centre now
invites applications for the post of:

PLACEMENT OFFICER

(**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK)

The role will involve working to recruit volunteers for a wide range
of voluntary organisations and groups in Co Kilkenny, ensuring that
volunteers are matched to a volunteering opportunity suitable to their
skills / interests and providing support to voluntary groups to
develop their volunteer programmes and volunteer management practices.

The Placement Officer will be responsible for promoting volunteering,
interviewing potential volunteers, maintaining accurate records,
developing the skills and capacity of voluntary groups and
organisations in Co. Kilkenny, and supporting the Manager in the
implementation of the Kilkenny Volunteer Centre workplan.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to volunteering, excellent
communication and IT skills, a thorough approach to administrative
tasks, a flexible and adaptable attitude, enthusiasm and a friendly
manner.
