ROLE DESCRIPTION: AFTERCARE WORKER
This position as the role of aftercare worker is to give guidance and
support in consultation with eligible young people who are in
transition from care or young adults who have previously left care
through the Aftercare Service to ensure best outcomes are achieved.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Professionally recognised endorsed qualification in
Batchelors degree/ diploma in Childcare or Applied Social Care
Studies/ Social Care Practice
Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications
And a suitable standard of professional attainments
And a requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of
suitability and ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of
office
And have a minimum of three years? experience of working in Child
protection or community care or other relevant environment with a
similarly challenging client group. Have Sufficient knowledge and
experience working with Children, Youth, Young adults and Family in a
community social care setting to carry out the duties and requirements
of the role.
ORGANISATIONAL DETAILS
My Pathways community aftercare service works in partnership Tusla and
with a wide range of Statutory, Voluntary and Community Agencies to
provide services for Young People who are preparing to leave or have
left the care.
