Accredited by the Adoption Authority of Ireland (AAI) under of

adoption services including: domestic and intercountry assessments,
information, advice, counselling and services in relation to adoption
and fostering.

THE POST: PRINCIPAL SOCIAL WORKER

HOURS: **Apply on the website** hours per week (office based)

LOCATION: Rathfarnham, D**Apply on the website**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* To manage and develop _PACT_?s Adoption Services and Pre-adoption
Foster Care Service
* To lead, support and supervise a team of social workers who work
remotely
* To work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure the
administrative needs of the social work team are met and for the
purposes of submissions to Tusla and AAI
* To prepare for and attend business level meetings with Tusla in
respect of submission and progression of SLAs and caseload briefings.
* To ensure requirements of AAI Accreditation are met and reported
upon as required in partnership with the Administration Manager.

ESSENTIAL:

* A recognised qualification in Social work (NQSW or equivalent) and
a current CORU registration
* A minimum of five year?s post qualifying experience
* Experience of providing supervision in a social work setting
* A minimum of three year?s appropriate experience in
adoption/fostering
* Excellent management, communication, organisational and networking
skills
* Working knowledge of the Standardised Framework for Inter-Country
adoption
* A high level of competency in report writing and assessment skills
and of MS office Suite
* Experience in individual/group work and facilitation of training
* A full clean driver?s licence.

DESIRABLE:

* A solid working knowledge of the following: _Adoption legislation,
the Hague Convention and the National Standards in Foster Care._
* Knowledge of funding requirements within the Community and
Voluntary sector.
