KILDARE TOWN YOUTH PROJECT TEAM LEADER (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS

Kildare Youth Services is a dynamic voluntary organisation dedicated
to working with young people in their local communities. Kildare Youth
Services is a member of Youth Work Ireland, a federation of
locally-based youth services throughout the country who work in the
interest of young people through the provision of a range of services
and who share a common ethos and approach. Kildare Youth Services is
committed to the personal and social development of young people
within their communities and to the provision of quality youth
services through an integrated multi-disciplinary approach.

The Kildare Town Youth Project is a UBU project funded by the
Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth
(DCEDIY) through Kildare & Wicklow Education & Training Board
(KWETB). The Team Leader will work to implement Kildare Youth
Services current Strategic and Operational Plans through an integrated
area-based model and will lead the project team to develop and
implement services and interventions for young people in the locality
based on their identified needs. This post is based in Kildare Town
with some travel across Kildare required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST:

* Have a level 7 qualification or higher in Youth Work, Community
Work, Social Studies or Social Care.
* Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a youth work
setting with ‘at-risk’ young people in a paid capacity.
* Have experience of developing positive working relationships with
young people, their families and communities.
* Have experience of leading a team.
* Have experience of providing line management, support &
supervision to staff/volunteers/students.
* Have experience of working on an inter-agency basis with a range
of partners.
* Have a good working knowledge of the youth work sector in Ireland
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong
recording, writing, reporting and evaluation skills & experience.
* Be willing to work unsocial hours and a time off in lieu system.
* Have a full clean driving license and own transport.

The successful candidate will be employed by Kildare Youth Services on
