JOB OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a STAFF NURSE / RGN / RNID II
based at our Enable Ireland Adult Respite House in Wicklow.

THE ROLE:

The post holder will work as part of a dedicated and innovative team
in a community based house providing respite breaks for Adults with
physical disability, and/or sensory or mild to moderate Intellectual
disabilities, within a quality framework to include assessment,
planning, intervention, and ongoing delivery of nursing services.

CONTRACT TYPE

There are two positions available:

* Permanent, part time contract working **Apply on the website**.5
hours per week.
* Permanent, full time contract working **Apply on the website**
hours per week.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To deliver a high standard nursing care to an assigned group of
service users within a best practice/evidence based framework.
* To have the ability to assess/care for adults primary physical
disability +/- mild to moderate intellectual disability they may also
have mild to moderate medical conditions such as epilepsy, respiratory
difficulties, tracheotomies, diabetes, enteral feeding or life
limiting illness.
* To promote and deliver services within the ethos and philosophy of
Enable Ireland.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:_

* A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent
qualification in Nursing.
* Must be registered with An Bord Altranais as an RN.
* Be eligible to work in the state.
* Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience.

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA:_

* Experience working with adults with disabilities, (physical
disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
* Post graduate diploma/degree in management or health related
field.

THE ROLE:

The post holder will work as part of a dedicated and innovative team
in a community based house providing respite breaks for Adults with
physical disability, and/or sensory or mild to moderate Intellectual
disabilities, within a quality framework to include assessment,
planning, intervention, and ongoing delivery of nursing services.

CONTRACT TYPE

This is a permanent, full-time contract.

THE ROLE:

To work as part of a dedicated and innovative team in a community
based house providing respite and holiday breaks for Adults with
physical and/or sensory or mild to moderate Intellectual disabilities,
within a quality framework.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Adhere to Guidelines for Working with Adults and Families as
outlined in the Code of Practice.
* Facilitate service users to be a part of the local community by
assisting in their use of local resources and services, as well as
taking part in activities outside the respite house.
* Enable service users to make decisions for themselves in all
aspects of their lives.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:_

* Ordinary BA in Applied Social Studies in Social Care QQI Level 7 or
higher _or_
* Open Training College National BA in Applied Studies
(Disabilities) QQI Level 7 or higher _or_
* Recognised Social Care qualification QQI Level 7 or higher.
* Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the
role.
* Full clean driving licence.

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA:_

* Experience of working with Adults and families with
physical/Sensory/Intellectual disabilities.
