We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager who manages the
operational procurement for our vendors in Northern Europe (UK,
Ireland and Sweden).

This team is accountable for the procurement of $**Apply on the
website**m of spend across the region. Focus is on providing
exceptional service and communication, together with improving
efficiency and transparency.

Working location: UK or Ireland, possible to work from home.

KEY TASKS
* Lead and manage a high performing team of **Apply on the website**
to support the delivery of exceptional service to our customers
* Monitor team performance and conduct a regular review of and
appraisals of goals set
* Working with local management and central teams support the
identification of best practice and new processes across the region.
* Manage the order placement and delivery of ~**Apply on the
website**k line deliveries into both our regional warehouse operations
and direct to customers.
* Drive efficiency gains in the operational processes.
* Working with Customer Services, Suppliers, Demand and the Global
teams identify and implement process improvements to improve costs and
OTIF performance.
* In conjunction with various local and central teams define special
services and, where needed, support development activities with the
procurement development, inventory and operations team.
* Drive best practice and standardisation.
* Ensure purchase order confirmation dates are maintained by regular
and effective expediting by the team members.
* Ensure delivery queries and supplier issues are managed promptly
and communicated effectively.
* Ensure invoice price and quantity differences are managed
effectively.
* Ensure that the team works in accordance with the approved company
operating policies, procedures, practices and methods.
* Management and Development of team members.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
* Be able to prioritize multiple tasks and give clear guidelines to
the team.
* Able to work across the Avantor organisation to develop integrated
best practice solutions for customer service and costs.
* Has a structured approach to problem-solving and rigorous
follow-up of details.
* Has a good knowledge of general Supply Chain principles and can
apply this to understand how their own decisions affect other areas of
the business.
* Experience acquired in a complex distribution environment together
with formal qualifications in the Supply Chain area.
* Good knowledge of SAP processes and tools.
* Regular travel in the region will be required
