leadership to the Claims Function. It&#**Apply on the website**;s an

As a member of the AIIDAC Executive leadership team, the role holder
will support the CEO with the realisation of the annual business
objectives across the Claims department. Compliance with all relevant
operational services regulation and legal requirements is crucial to
the success of the organisation and you can play a key role in
maintaining this. By crafting and maintaining an effective management
and control framework, your work will enable informed business
decisions to be taken which focus on shareholder value and delivering
incredible customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide the General Insurance business with an operational
governance framework, which will link with the business demand drivers
and involve supervision of claims handling in Aviva Ireland.

* Lead, empower and develop the Claims team to achieve all business
targets. Be a competent role model for leadership and change in the
organisation.

* Provide valued and trusted support to the CEO by proactively
influencing and driving the successful execution of Claims operations.

* Ensure that market risks are identified and documented with clear
steps and that exceptions are raised in line with procedures, so the
Executive Management, Risk and Compliance teams are appropriately
aware.

* Prioritise plans for investment and expenditure, resource plans,
and ensure the delivery of the Claims function&#**Apply on the
website**;s objectives and ambitions.

* Accountable for controls and governance, cost effectiveness and
efficiency, and regulatory compliance across the General Insurance
business.

* Maintain a customer focus both internally and externally that is
defined and embedded into all activities of the department.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Holding a recognised professional qualification specified by the
Central Bank&#**Apply on the website**;s MCC is essential.

* Experience developing within the insurance industry and capable of
operating within the framework determined by the Central Bank of
Ireland.

* A proven track record of leading and delivering operational
excellence in a large, customer-focused organisation.

* Strong financial awareness and in depth understanding of financial
drivers & metrics. Confident in allocating and utilising budgets to
improve value.

* Proven ability to build and maintain excellent business
relationships across all levels of seniority. Capable of driving a
high performance based culture through effective relationship
management.

* Understanding of the risks and the controls in place to manage &
mitigate these risks faced by the function.
