Risk & Regulatory Monitoring Manager

function is crucial to keeping the company on track. We are looking
for a Risk & Regulatory Monitoring Manager to join us and ensure that
the business operates to the highest compliance standards possible.

The role holder is responsible for providing assurance to the Chief
Risk Officer and the Executive Management Team that key regulatory,
conduct, financial crime and operational risks are being managed
efficiently across the business.

The team is based in our office in Cherrywood but we are happy to
consider home-working arrangements for some or most of the week.

Responsibilities

* Executing individual reviews to support and enhance the
effectiveness of risk management across Aviva Ireland, through
reviewing, testing and challenging key business processes and
decisions.

* Completing focused reviews that test and report on the effective
implementation and embeddedness of the first line of defence risk
management practices.

* Supporting the execution of a risk-based plan to monitor
regulatory, operational, conduct and financial crime risks.

* Consistently applying and further improving Risk & Regulatory
Monitoring methodology.

* Helping to drive and support regulatory compliance and the conduct
risk agenda by engaging actively with key colleagues to ensure a
thorough understanding of regulatory accountabilities.

* Generating value by supporting the business to adhere to
regulatory requirements, ensuring good customer/conduct outcomes
through robust action planning and execution post completion of
reviews.

Skills and Experience

* A professional qualification in a relevant area such as
insurance/risk/compliance/finance/law.

* Experience working in regulatory or compliance roles within the
Financial Services sector.

* Knowledge of the regulatory environment with a sound understanding
of regulatory, operational, financial and/or insurance risks and the
commercial environment.

* Up to date understanding of Risk, Corporate Governance and
audit/monitoring methods and ability to translate knowledge and
experience into recommendations that will improve our business.

* Excellent verbal communication and business relationship
management skills.

* Confident report writing and written communication capabilities.

* Effective time management with ability to prioritise and progress
multiple projects simultaneously.
