Saint John of God Foundation is a fundraising charity that supports
Saint John of God Hospitaller Ministries, a non-profit healthcare
organisation providing services for children and adults with
intellectual disabilities, mental health care, care of children with
terminal illness and care of elderly people in Ireland, United Kingdom
and Malawi. As the charity approaches a period of transition it is
seeking to fill the following role:

COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE

Saint John of God Foundation recognises the strong need to engage new
donors and communicate effectively with current donors and other
stakeholders in order to guarantee sustainable fundraising income to
support all our projects, particularly in Malawi.

THE COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE WILL BE PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
FOLLOWING:

* Devise and implement external Communication and Campaign Plans in
support of the Foundation's fundraising goals.
* Devise and implement an internal Communication Plan to support the
Foundation's fundraising goals.
* Reinforce and develop the charities brand identity.
* Support the Digital Acquisition strategy through content
production across all digital platforms.
* Build loyalty and retention of the Foundation's supporters through
devising and implementing high quality supporter communications.
* Support the development of a website and digital presence for SJOG
in Northern Ireland.

IDEALLY, CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE:

* Degree level or relevant experience of communications in a
commercial or charity environment.
* Minimum of 3 years? experience in a communications related role
in a commercial or charity environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Word and
in WordPress, and with video editing software.
* Good communication, problem solving skills and ability to work
with colleagues in programme delivery.
* Ability to plan and prioritise work while responding flexibly to
rapidly changing priorities.
* Ability to work in an environment where performance is measured
against specific targets.
