COMMUNITY SUPPORT VACANCIES

A. SOCIAL CARE WORKER / AUTISM PRACTITIONER, PERMANENT (1.**APPLY ON
THE WEBSITE** WTE ? DAY SERVICE HOURS) ? OUTREACH COMMUNITY
SUPPORT TEAM, BEAUMONT, DUBLIN 9.

The Community Support Team is an innovative outreach service that
offers support to people across the North Dublin Region. Everyone
accessing the service is allocated their own caseworker.?The
Caseworker is responsible for supporting individuals who require low
or medium intensity casework support that is flexible and responsive
to their needs. The support includes ongoing input, advocacy, advice,
information and referrals (for individuals requiring more intensive or
specialised support). As part of this role you may also be responsible
for developing and facilitating group work sessions on topics or
themes identified from individual consultations and other relevant
forums. This may include areas such as life skills and personal
development.?The caseworker will be expected to take the lead in
organising the support including assessments, scheduling, personal
plans, and reviews under supervision of a Location Manager

This is a full-time time position based in Beaumont, Dublin 9.?The
successful candidate will operate on daytime hours Monday to
Friday,?however, some flexibility is required to occasionally work
evenings or weekends to meet the needs of service provision - annual
increments are included.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR SOCIAL CARE WORKER/ AUTISM PRACTITIONER
POST:

* Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of
Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.
* A relevant qualification received outside the State recognised by
NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award or
* Relevant third level qualification at degree level i.e. social
work, psychology, and/or allied health or a Post-graduate
qualification in Autism Studies

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THIS POST:

* At least one-year recent experience in the social care/disability
sector
* Experience of supporting individuals with a diagnosis of ASD and
knowledge of Autism
* Ability to promote independence ? supporting others to learn how
? not doing it for them.
* An understanding of the New Directions Model of Service Delivery.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A full, clean drivers licence and access to own car for travelling
to various locations.

SALARY SCALE:

* Successful candidates will be paid in line with **Apply on the
website** HSE revised consolidated Social Care Worker pay scale point

website** per annum based on working a **Apply on the website**-hour

with this role.
