Transport Director
A great opportunity for an enthusiastic,dedicated and ambitious
Transport Director to support and lead our clients Transport Division.
You will provide a major contribution in the successful delivery of
safe, quality, sustainable and innovative highway design solutions for
their clients.

The successful candidate will be based in their Dublin office and will
work on a broad cross section of highway infrastructure projects
across several markets within Ireland and the UK. This role will suit
someone who has previous responsibilities for the technical and
commercial management of projects. You will have the ability to deal
with clients, including ability to sell, resolve problems with clients
generate new work and satisfy client requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

* Chartered Engineer with more than **Apply on the website**
years&#**Apply on the website**; relevant experience preferably gained
in a Consulting Engineering practice(s) in Ireland or the UK.

* Degree qualified (Level 8).

* Experience in undertaking senior design roles across a broad
spectrum of Transportation projects.

* Significant experience in client interfaces and contract management
with strong client links.

* Previous responsibility for the technical and commercial management
of projects including the budgeting and assignment of resources within
fee and profitability limitations.

* Demonstrated team leadership experience with capabilities to guide
the development of the team.

* Technical excellence.

* Highly motivated.

The Role

* Support the management and leadership of the transportation
business.

* Manage budgets and meet agreed targets.

* Implement best practices and comply with all internal systems.

* Provide leadership in setting and implementing design (technical)
and quality complianc .

* Build and maintain personal, unit and team skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Extensive knowledge of design codes, specifications, legislation and
best practices, particularly in the delivering of roads and transport
related projects .

* A thorough understanding of professional appointments, contractual
arrangements, procurement and project management.

* Ability to deal with clients, including ability to sell, resolve
problems with clients, generate new work and satisfy client
requirements

* Excellent people management skills.

* Possess excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.

* Demonstrated inter-personal skills that encourage team working and
staff retention; be capable of guiding the development of the
Transport team to maintain our prominent position in the industry and
to recognise and respond to the changing needs of the industry .

* Support group policies and strategies with a proven ability of
implementation.

* Strong MS Office skill.
