Our client is a rapidly expanding Engineering & Contracting business
based in Dublin offering a turnkey project delivery service across
Ireland and Europe. This organisation operates within the key sectors
of; data centres, pharmaceutical and technology construction. Group
turnover currently stands at over ?**Apply on the website**m but

website**% per annum. This organisation delivers projects with values
from ?**Apply on the website**m to ?**Apply on the website**m and
offers a full cradle-to-grave service from civils & base build through
to fit out and technology installation.

Due to continued rapid growth in these sectors our client is now
seeking an additional Estimator to join the pre-construction team
based in their Dublin head office. This role will specifically be
working on CSA construction packages (Civil, Structural &
Architectural) so this role requires applicants to have experience of
new build schemes gained with a building main contractor

Duties & Responsibilities will include;

Ability to take-off quantities and to prepare a pricing document

Obtaining pricing for elements of the building from Irish and European
subcontractors and suppliers

Preparing estimates based on drawings and specifications

Utilising spreadsheets to compare subcontractor&#**Apply on the
website**;s bids and justifying why a particular subcontractor has
been chosen

Assist in the maintaining of the cost data base

Present the estimate to the Estimating Director and when necessary to
the Board of Directors

Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers,
engineers etc.)

A minimal amount of travel throughout Europe will be required.

The ability to identify potential risks (financial and buildability)
on a project

The ideal applicant would hold a minimum of NFQ (or equivalent) Level
7 in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or an equivalent
Quantity Surveying or Estimating background with at least 3 years
relevant industry experience. Applicant should also be able to
demonstrate a good standard or written and oral English language
skills
