The postholder will be employed by Ulster Wildlife on behalf of a
partnership of four nature conservation organisations - National
Trust, RSPBNI, Woodland Trust and Ulster Wildlife.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the four largest nature
conservation organisations in Northern Ireland to drive forward the
concept and practice of nature recovery networks in Northern Ireland.

It is widely accepted that nature reserves are not enough to halt the
decline in wildlife but that action needs to be taken at a landscape
scale to achieve this. A &#**Apply on the website**;Nature Recovery
Network&#**Apply on the website**; (or ecological network) is a
joined-up system of places important for wildlife.

The Project Coordinator will drive a focused project with the aim of
upskilling the four largest natural heritage organisations in Northern
Ireland so that they can better apply an ecological network approach
in their work in the future to achieve a NI-wide nature recovery
network. They will lead on the creation of a first set of ecological
network maps for Northern Ireland. They will also upskill the wider
sector and advocate for a nature recovery network with decision
makers.

They will also facilitate the sharing of information and good practice
at all levels through establishing a practitioner&#**Apply on the
website**;s network between the four organisations driving forward
meaningful collaboration, leading to a more effective sector.

manager who is passionate about nature&#**Apply on the website**;s
recovery with excellent communications skills.
