intervention services to children between the ages of 3 to 6 with a
diagnosis of Autism or a related diagnosis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of ABA Class Teacher is a multi-faceted role that would
be ideal for individuals who are passionate about the area of special
education and early intervention. We are seeking applications from
motivated individuals who would be interested in playing an active
role in both the planning and delivery of early intervention services
with young children with a diagnosis of Autism ? in a fun and
motivating pre-school environment.
The role of the ABA Class Teacher primarily involves overseeing a
class of 6 children (ages **Apply on the website**) with a diagnosis
of Autism, and 3 ABA tutors.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE: (WITH SUPERVISION FROM THE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT
TEAM)
* Using the methods of Applied Behaviour Analysis
* Developing and implementing the children?s Individual Education
Plans (IEP)
* Provide on-going training and support to tutors in implementing
IEP goals
* Working in consultation with the BCBAs and Behaviour Support team
* Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and supporting tutors
to run effectively
* Ensure excellent data taking skills
* Holding regular team meetings
* Daily informal parent interactions and formal review meetings with
parents or other professionals.
The ABA Class Teacher also has the important role of conducting
_BEHAVIOUR ANALYTIC ASSESSMENTS_ (such as VBMAPP), and _DESIGNING_,
and _MONITORING THE PROGRESS_ of, the children?s Individualised
Education Plans. This would be done under the on-going supervision of
the BCBA and Management Team.
For individuals pursuing BCBA, BCaBA or RBT certification, on-going
_BCBA SUPERVISION IS AVAILABLE _as part of the role.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
* Someone who is passionate and dedicated to creating a positive
environment where students and tutors can achieve their full potential
* An individual with demonstrable experience of working well within
a team, as well as working independently
* The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the delivery
of interventions based on Applied Behaviour Analysis
* Experience working in a supervisory capacity, or providing
training to other staff members is not essential, but would be an
advantage
* Demonstrate excellent organisation and leadership skills
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
* 1+ years working with children with a diagnosis of Autism or
related diagnosis in any environment is essential. Experience working
within a school or classroom setting would be an advantage.
* Have at least a level 8 degree in either Psychology, Early
Childhood Education or similar qualification
* Eligible or already registered with the Teaching Council of
Ireland (this is possible with a Level 8 degree, or Level 7 degree
with relevant experience under the Further Education route)
