REQUEST FOR TENDER: INDEX OF MEASURES DATABASE AND SEARCH ENGINE

The Centre for Effective Services (CES) is a not-for-profit,
intermediary organisation with offices in Dublin and Belfast.?We
connect?policy, practice?and research, helping to ensure the
implementation of effective services, to improve the lives of people
living across the island of Ireland.?

CES is developing a suite of resources for professionals in the
statutory, voluntary and academic sectors who work in the development
and improvement of services for children, young people and their
families. One of these resources is a list of validated tools that are
used in monitoring and evaluation.

This ?index of measures? will be a searchable database of

descriptive information about a ?standardised measure?, which is a
survey tool that is used in social and evaluation research.

The tender involves two strands of work:

* Construction of a publicly accessible database to be hosted and
managed by the Centre for Effective Services

* Construction of a search engine for this database which will be
