JOB TITLE: MANAGER

ABOUT US: Jobstown Assiting Drug Dependency (JADD), is a
community-based organisation that provides treatment, rehabilitation,
and support services to individuals & families affected by addiction
problems. JADD is governed by a voluntary board of directors, and is
funded through the Health Service Executive (HSE) addiction services,
Pobal, and the Tallaght Drug & Alcohol Task Force. JADD places great
value on the long standing partnerships we have with the HSE, TDATF,
and other partners, therefore, the Manager is required to engage with,
and work in partnerhsip with all stakeholders in a professional and
collaborative way.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSTION: JADD are recruiting for a Manager with
excellent leadership & management skills. It is essential that the
Manager has a passion for supporting individuals, families, and
communities affected by substance use problems. This role requires the
individual to have excellent leadership skills, with experience in
implementing strategic objectives, in partnership with the Board of
Directors (BOD) and staff. The Manager will have responibility for the
operation & clinical/social care governance of an addiction treatment
& rehabilitation service, therefore, day to day management skills and
experience are essential. As part of this role, the Manager is
responsible for ensuring that individuals and families receive a
professional and safe service, in line with the HSE Safer Better
Healthcare Standards, therefore, experience of working to quality
standards is also important. The Manager is also responible for staff
management, data management, stakeholder engagement, including service
users, and for health & safety of all on site.

REPORTING STRUCUTURE: The Manager will report to the Chairperson of
the BOD on a weekly basis, or as required, while also attending BOD
meetings on a monthly basis to apprise the board on strategic
objectives, stakeholder communications, staff updates, etc.

TENURE: This position is permanent and whole time, subject to funding.

SALARY SCALE: Grade VI Clerical

WORKING WEEK: The working week consists of **Apply on the website**
hours per week. As JADD provides services over seven days per week,
flexibility will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

LEADERSHIP

* To work in partnership with the BOD to align service provision with
agreed Service Level Agreements
* To provide leadership to the management committee to ensure
JADD?s vision and ethos is promoted.
* To implement annual work plans to achieve strategic objectives.
* To provide leadership to teams to ensure they achieve department
goals.

FINANCE MANAGEMENT

* Knowledge and experience of developing annual budgets, & monitoring
of actual expenditure.
* Experience and knowledge of applying for NGO funding/grants,
fundraising, etc.
* Experience of working with a finance sub-committee.

OPERATION MANGEMENT

* To oversee systems and strucutres that support the effective and
efficent operation of JADD?s services.
* To ensure that JADD?s assessment, key-working, and
case-mangement processes are in line with the NDRIC Framework.
* To ensure that JADD staff work in partnership with HSE staff in
the delivery of opioid substituion treatment.
* To ensure that all departments are appropriately staffed to meet
service user needs.

STAFF MANAGEMENT

* To manage and support staff to provide a safe & professional
service.
* Knowledge of Irish employment legislation, for example, equality &
diversity, health & safety, paternity & maternity, disciplinary &
grievance, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) **Apply on the

* To ensure that staff are working towards their department goals.
* To manage staff issues & complaints, and conduct investigations,
if required.
* To provide supervision & support to staff.
* To plan & chair weekly staff meetings, planning sessions, crisis
meetings, etc.

STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS

* To work collaboratively & professionally with funders and key
stakeholders to enhance service provision for service users; to ensure
JADD?s sustainability, and the enchanement of JADD?s reputation.
* To attend stakeholder meetings/events, such as HSE SLA meetings,
TDATF sub-group meetings, etc., and represent JADD in a professional &
appropriate manner to ensure positive stakeholder relationships are
preserved.

QUALITY & DATA MANAGEMENT

* To ensure that service provision is developed, delivered and
reviewed in line with the HSE Safer Better Healthcare Standards.
* To ensure that all data collected is stored, both paper & digital
records, in line with the GDPR obligations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* A recognised third level qualification in a relevant field.
* A minimum of 3 years management experience, preferable in a
community/voluntary organization.
* Experience of developing & implementing evidence-based practices.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Ireland?s National Drugs Strategy.
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of structures that
support the NDS, such as Local Drug Task Force, etc.
* Experience of working in a community-based addiction service,
offering multiple services to individuals & families affected by
addiction problems.
* Experience of leading & managing teams.
* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
* Excellent organizational skills.
