MORNINGS (6 HOURS PER WEEK) TO TEACH OUR __COMMUNITY CARE QQI LEVEL 5

JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE TUTOR

REPORTS TO: Further Education Lead

CONTRACT: One-year fixed term

LOCATION: Tallaght, Co Dublin, but also have the facility to work
remotely via the Internet, as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Delivery of the modules in the Community care programme which
include:

website**, Care Provision and Practice Social Studies 5N**Apply on the
website**, Human Growth and Development 5N**Apply on the website**,

* Curriculum development for programme validation and the delivery
of the modules stated above.
* Communicate effectively with other staff members and participate
in staff team meetings.
* A commitment to fulfilling An Cos?n?s quality assurance and QQI
standards
* Experience of teaching in an online context using Zoom or Moodle
is desirable

ESSENTIAL

* A minimum qualification of a QQI Level 6 and/or 7 in a relevant
area or equivalent
* A minimum of Train the Trainer teaching qualification
* A Minimum **Apply on the website** years? work experience in a
community or health care setting
* Have a critical understanding of community education and community
development principles and practices.
* Experience of developing Curriculum Content for QQI programmes
* Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Word

DESIRABLE:

* Experience and a passion for teaching/working in the community and
voluntary sector is desirable
* Previous experience of online education with Learning Management
Systems and education technology tools
* Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and
teamwork skills
* Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative and
co-operatively
* A reflective practitioner, capable and willing to contribute to a
vibrant team of educators
* Excellent multi-tasking, time management and communication skills
* Experience working with community-based groups and adult learners
strongly desired

PAYMENT (OCCASIONAL HOURS, CONTRACT BASED): In line with industry
standards.
