PROJECT COORDINATOR AND FUNDRAISING ADMINISTRATOR

ABOUT THE JOB

THIS JOB IS COMPRISED OF TWO PARTS:

* FUNDRAISING
* COORDINATION OF REPORTING FOR FUNDED PROJECTS

An Taisce has a volunteer-led fundraising committee with ambitions to
drive its fundraising efforts. An Taisce is seeking to hire the right
candidate to oversee its fundraising plan and help deliver in areas of
Grant Fundraising, Regular Giving, Major Donors and Legacies, and
Corporate Partnerships. This role requires someone with initiative
committed to ensuring that the organisation?s fundraising is an area
of growth and success in the years ahead.

FUNDING REPORTING COORDINATOR

The aim is to oversee the successful implementation of an EU Life
project, respecting the agreed milestones and deliverables by
exercising oversight of all activities. This will also entail:

* Convening meetings of the Project Steering Committee at the agreed
intervals and receiving progress reports.
* Consulting at regular intervals with an Advisory Panel composed of
appropriately experienced individuals who can offer advice on the
direction and implementation of the project.
* This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who has a
passion for the environment and our natural and built heritage and the
skills and experience to drive growth and success.

CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS

The right person will add structure, process and enthusiasm to the
voluntary efforts of the fundraising committee currently driving the
fundraising plan. The requirements of the job include:

GRANT FUNDRAISING

* Maintain a pipeline of active and pending grants and provide
monthly status reports.
* Work with ?subject matter experts? in relevant fields from
across the organisation to create quality applications which are in
compliance with funders? requirements

REGULAR GIVING

* Deliver an annual regular giving plan retaining existing and
attracting new donors to the work of An Taisce
* Communicating with actual and potential donors on a regular basis.

MAJOR DONORS AND LEGACIES

* Deliver an annual major donors and legacies plan to solicit major
gifts from appropriate philanthropists and supporters of our work
* Working with advisors on the fundraising committee identify from
within our database and other sources new individuals to approach

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

* Maintains a pipeline of relevant corporate partners who align with
the values of An Taisce and can be approached for support
* Drafting resources to help with proposals to corporates and
ensuring that the leadership of the organisation is fully prepared and
briefed when meeting potential corporates
* Solicit corporate partnerships through direct contacts as well as
through appropriate networking events

FUNDING REPORTING COORDINATOR

* The successful candidate will have significant experience of
coordination within a small team dedicated to achieving specific
project objectives.
* Familiarity with administrative and financial systems and progress
assessment techniques will also be advantageous.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Oversee an annual work plan that ensures that each area is
adequately addressed and each is given particular focus in key stages
throughout the year.
* Provide support to, and receive mentorship from, the fundraising
committee and its members to ensure the annual fundraising work plan
is delivered
* Liaise with all units in An Taisce to provide support and draft
communications, newsletters and online materials to promote the ways
people can support the work of An Taisce.
* Maintain all donation platforms for the organisation (e.g.
Facebook, iDonate etc) and ensure that opportunities to give through
these platforms are regularly promoted
* Handle all fundraising related queries and follow ups on behalf of
An Taisce

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

* 2 years?experience?in a similar environment?with an ability to
work to tight deadlines
* Excellent?member focus?in all?verbal, written and presentation
skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with excellent
administrative skills, keen attention to detail and excellent numeracy
skills.
* Experience of dealing effectively with external contacts, face to
face and by telephone.
* Experience of developing and maintaining?relationships with a
wide range of donors.
* Ability to work effectively with other team members.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills?and good leadership.
* A positive and flexible approach to working in a busy work
environment
* Ability to be self-motivated and manage your own time.
* Motivation, eagerness to learn?and progress,?with?a passion for
the cause.
* Commitment to An Taisce?s values and a working style which
reflects these.

DESIRABLE

* Experience of working in?a?fundraising or?business support role.
* CRM management experience (using CiviCRM for example).
* Understanding and passion for environmental issues
