life enhancing services and supports, responding to needs, wishes and
choices of people with an intellectual disability, connected to
support networks in their communities.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS

POST: CENTRE MANAGER

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time ( **Apply on the website** hours per
week)
Location: Glebe Lodge Service, Castleisland, Co Kerry.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate
nursing professional. Your role will be in the leadership, management
and development of services supporting adults with an Intellectual
Disability in a nursing led service. You will be responsible for the
organisation and allocation of resources, for the successful
implementation of the Association?s policies and the day to day
management of the Centre.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support the overall day-to-day management of the Service.
* Responsible for effectively leading, motivating and supervising
the staff team.
* Responsible for effectively managing the available resources,
within the allocated budget in consultation with the Assistant
Director of Services.
* To support staff to train and upskill in models appropriate to
ID/Autism Services.
* Responsible for ensuring the provision of a person centred service
to those supported by KPFA.
* To be the key communicator to all stakeholders, i.e. staff,
residents, management, family and other Service providers.
* To develop relationships and linkages with community groups and
other disability agencies.
* To ensure that all staff work in a co-ordinated manner and in the
best interests of each person.
* To act as the Person In Charge in accordance with HIQA
Regulations.
* The post is evolutionary in nature and consequently the Centre
Manager may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the
post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

* ABA Registered Nurse ideally (RNID).
* At least 3 years? relevant experience in an operational
management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff &
volunteers.
* Management Qualification essential.
* An excellent knowledge of statutory regulations, standards, role
of person in charge and Health Act **Apply on the website**.
* A proven ability to lead and support teams.
* Experience of working with people with?a range of high support
needs to include aging, dementia and behaviours of concern.
* Experience in and a commitment to promoting community presence and
ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
* A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business
purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To be a key driver in promoting a social model service delivery and
person centred service provision to all day service
attendees/residents at all times.
* To ensure the lives of people with intellectual disability are
fully enhanced through effective leadership, motivation and management
of staff and resources.
* To ensure that the needs of both residents and service users are
met, in a person-centred manner and in line with contemporary best
practice and national standards.
* To focus on the individual needs of residents and service users.
* Ensure and maintain a rights based person centred process.
* Work with Stakeholders including residents, families and staff,
through the provision of training, advocacy, information and support
networks to facilitate residents and service users to live the life
they wish to live.
* The post is evolutionary in nature and consequently the Centre
Manager may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the
post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time.
