SUBSTANCE USE RELATED FAMILY SUPPORT

Family support work linked to problematic substance use became a key
area of work in the drug and alcohol sector in Ireland following the
realization by services of the importance of finding the means of

the current practice of treating the substance user in isolation from
their family. Informed by this approach to intervening with problem

and efficacy of existing local family support interventions and
increase integration with the universal family supports.

with problems and stress arising from substance use and/or substance
use related problems.

The post holder will be expected to have experience establishing
effective working relationships with services and support groups
working with families, particularly those working with individuals and
families affected by substance use and its associated problems.

At least 3 year?s experience working in a paid professional capacity
at local level, working on substance use related problem supports with
