Fine Gael are recruiting for the position of EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
OFFICER. This is a fulltime contract position based in Party
Headquarters at **Apply on the website** Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2.

Fine Gael is committed to increasing the diversity of its membership
and its candidates for national and local elections, with a particular
focus on increasing the number of women elected nationally and
locally.

THE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY OFFICER WILL PLAY A KEY ROLE IN DRIVING
THIS AGENDA IN FINE GAEL THROUGH A VARIETY OF MEANS, INCLUDING:

* Developing and delivering campaigns, strategies and approaches to
attract female candidates and female members, and candidates and
members from diverse backgrounds;
* Developing and delivering training programmes for new members and
candidates from diverse backgrounds and for new female members and
candidates;
* Supporting the work of Fine Gael Women?s Network, Fine Gael
Intercultural and Fine Gael?s LGBT;
* Co-ordinating Fine Gael?s outreach to communities and groups
that are underrepresented within the Party, and
* Supporting constituencies to promote diversity, equality and
inclusion.

This is a national role that will require significant travel across
the country. There will be regular requirements to work and attend
evening and Saturday events. A full, clean drivers license and access
to a car is required for the role.

THE ROLE WILL REQUIRE THAT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS:

* Comprehensive understanding of Irish electoral and party political
processes.
* Very strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
* Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and strong IT
skills generally.
* Prior professional experience working in a voluntary, membership
or political organisation.

It is desirable that the person has experience designing and
delivering training programmes.

A demonstrable passion for promoting diversity, equality and inclusion
and a commitment to Fine Gael?s ethos and values is essential.
