We currently have exciting opportunities to join our team based in Dublin to work as part of our Test & Verification team for the TeraVM product. TeraVM is a fully virtualized (on multiple hypervisors), highly scalable application for testing multi-service IP networks. It determines the key quality and performance limitations associated with the deployment of next generation voice, video and data applications and helps the world’s largest companies develop and deploy associated services with confidence.
C++ Software Developer
As a part of Cobham’s Wireless Business Unit based in Dublin, we are looking for a Software Developer to work as a key member of our TeraVM platform development team. The TeraVM is a fully virtualized (on multiple hypervisors), highly scalable application for testing multi-service IP networks. It determines the key quality and performance limitations associated with the deployment of next generation voice, video and data applications and helps the world’s largest companies develop and deploy associated services with confidence.

As a C++ Software Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• 5 years plus experience in C++ Development and multi-thread development
• Familiarity with Java, Perl and shell scripting
• Comfortable developing in a Linux environment using the command line plus shell scripts/Makefiles
• Experience with development tools such as SVN, gdb, Boost, Valgrind
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies including ESXi, KVM, XEN is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of IP-based networking problems a bonus

As a C++ Software Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Full participation in the development life cycle for new features, from specification writing, to design, implementation and testing, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards
• Working with Product Management to ensure customer requirements are adequately captured and understood
• Maintaining and enhancing the existing product, delivering new features from design through to development and testing, prototyping where necessary
• Working with peers and other developers to deliver improvements to the core product and to integrate new technologies where appropriate
