Automation Engineer



Are you an Automation Engineer with PLC programming experience? Have you used Allen Bradley? Are you used to working with cross-functional teams on a variety of projects? If so, we have an ideal opportunity with an Irish client in Meath

 

Automation Engineer - Meath

 

Employer:

Our Client is is a young dynamic company specialising in Controls & Automation.  They undertake all aspects of control system design & integration and much of their business is repeat custom from satisfied multinational clients.

 

Description:

The role of the Electrical / Automation Engineer is to support the technical team on a variety of projects within a manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. 

Control Engineer should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering / Automation with at least 2-3 years’ experience in PLC programming.

The applicant ideally would have experience in a manufacturing environment and have the ability to work in a high pressure environment.

The applicant should have experience with the following applications - Allen Bradley

Experience in the areas of programming and installing Robotic application for Palletising, Packing, Pick & place and continuous motion assembly machines.

Exposure with Visions applications – Cognex cameras - insight. To be able to program and install servo systems and configure the install networks including Ethernet networks.

Implement code changes on the automation systems under change control.

 

Requirements:

B.Sc. degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering or equivalent, with particular emphasis in electrical, mechanical, electronic, automation discipline.

Minimum 2 years experience in Manufacturing Environment working as an Electrical or Automation Engineer

Experienced with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and vision systems in operating environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong team player, self-motivated, can-do attitude and career orientated.

 

Package:

€30-35K per annum based on experience
