Job Description
Due to an expanding workload in the Design and Construction Supervision of Water Services Projects worldwide and particularly in Eastern and Southern Africa, we are recruiting a senior engineer for International Water Services Projects.
The position provides an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in water/wastewater to move to a senior position and be part of the expansion of a successful international engineering business.
Reporting to the Associate Director, the position will involve the management of design and construction supervision teams worldwide. The position will be based in Dublin and will involve some travel.
Requirements
Degree Qualified Civil Engineer
7+ years’ experience in design / admin of water services projects
Chartered Engineer or approaching Chartership (ideally IEI/ICE)
Knowledge of Computer Aided Design packages for Water Services, and highly IT literate
Experience in Project Management and Supervision of water services projects
Proven ability to work as part of a team and liaising with other project team members
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with project management and contract administration on large water services projects
Reviewing designs in all aspects of water services projects
Managing the preparation and production of tender submissions.
Preparing technical methodologies for tenders for water services projects
Preparing company documentation for quality assurance procedures
Providing technical back up to site staff engaged in design and supervision of water services projects
Making site visits and reports for projects
Assisting with business development in selected markets
It would be advantageous to have,
Experience with FIDIC conditions of contract
Experience overseas
Package
€70K, negotiable for the right candidate
