Job Description
Provide expertise and influence to the site in the areas of “Process Safety Management” compliance, integrity management and risk management.
Job Requirements
Leading process safety activities on projects.
Part of the process team and responsible for the process safety aspects of projects.
Design of process safety systems including active and passive fire protection, emergency shut-down, and emergency de-pressurisation.
Understand Engineering drawings mainly P& ID's
Participate and lead HAZOPs, pre-start up reviews of new and modified installations
Lead Process Hazard analysis as required
Complete ATEX risk assessments and relevant reports
Understand, interpret and communicate process safety testing results
Complete & understand vent sizing, prevent of runaway reactions and management of upset scenarios.
Site and design risk accepting assessment.
Requirements:
Honours Degree in Process / Chemical Engineering discipline with 3+ years exposure to Process / Chemical Safety in a Manufacturing Environment
7+ years exposure to Process / Chemical Safety in a Manufacturing Environment
Skills & Knowledge
Support Change control programme on site.
Strong verbal, technical writing, project management and interpersonal skills are required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple task/assignments to demanding deadlines.
Strong verbal, presentation and communication skills, demonstrable technical report writing skills.
Able to interact successfully with a wide range of people from differing disciplines and backgrounds.
Planning and execution skills.
Can demonstrate knowledge of and competence in manufacturing operations and business processes.
Good understanding of pharmaceutical or bio processing technologies
Experience in HAZOP and HAZID studies associated with process industry.
Package:
Excellent rates dependent on previous experience
Minimum Contract duration: 18 Month Contract.
