ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Stream Quality Leader
to join the Kerry team in Shillelagh,

The Production Stream Quality Lead (PSQL) will work alongside the
Production Stream Management team to build Technical Capability within
the Production Stream. PSQL will develop trust and champion safe food
values and quality first culture thus enabling the effective and
sustainable transfer of Quality responsibilities to the Production
Stream
-through a programme of education, training, coaching and ongoing
verification.

PSQL will develop technical excellence at all levels within the
Production Stream - through a programme of training, coaching, and
mentoring to enable sustainable high performance against Quality
standards.

Another important element of this role is to provide support to enable
the Production Stream to undertake routine factory-based food safety
/quality standards inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* High Performing Teams (Build Sustainability Through People) Develop
technical excellence at all levels within the Production Stream -
through a programme of training, coaching, and mentoring to enable
sustainable high performance against Quality standards. in
built/online quality (e.g. QC monitoring tasks) and to ensure
proficiency in Food Safety and Quality Standards e.g. Basic GMP,
Allergen Control, Quality system procedures Build trust through
effective leadership and the skilled application of people management
processes and open 2-way communications.
* Support the development of Process Standard Operating Procedures
Train and Coach the Production Stream to enable them to develop SOPs
which are aligned with the Quality Management System for process
related manufacturing jobs / tasks.
* Facilitate Continuous Improvement Continuously improve standards
set by facilitating and executing appropriate KPS Methodologies such
as 8 Step Practical Problem Solving within the Production Stream.
Coach 8 Step PPS & conduct periodic assessments to ensure the 8 Step
PPS process is being followed.
* Standard Confirmation Check that standards set within the
Production Stream are adhered to through layered confirmation
* Product Quality Standards Educate and train the Production Stream
team to ensure that
* Product Quality Attributes are effectively introduced, verified and
embedded. 6. Facilitate and support Quality Inspection Provide
necessary, training, coaching and support to enable the Production
Stream to undertake routine factory-based food safety /quality
standards inspections including:
Product and process QC, Cleaning inspection Pre-start, Line Start up
inspection, Fabrication Inspection, Glass Integrity Checks, Foreign
Body Inspections and GMP Audits
* Support Quality / Technical Issue Resolution Provide the necessary
training, coaching and support to enable the Production Stream to lead
the investigation and resolution of non-conformances (including
non-conformances relating to product, process, internal and external
audits) using 8 Step Practical Problem Solving - communicate issues
* Support Production Stream Governance Provide support to the
Production Stream to help identify performance gaps, trends and
improvement opportunities and communicate internally using visual
management standards in the Production Stream and externally to site
management team

_QUALIFICATIONS_ and skills

Essential:

* Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills Fluency of English
language Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key
process data
* Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the
principles and tools of lean manufacturing Robust understanding of
Food Safety and Quality Management Systems Robust knowledge of the BRC
Global Food Standard and specific customer standards as they apply.
* The ability to identify and actively plan improvements. Demonstrate
flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing
environment Leadership:
Thoughtful leader who lives the core values of Kerry PVV, KPS, respect
and Teamwork Effective communicator who facilitates bottom up and top
down communication channels Key
