REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Project Worker (with co-responsibility for the
Consent Education Project )

Reports to the centre manager on a day to day basis and to the Consent
Education Project Manager; Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence
Services Programme, Tusla: Child and Family Agency on all matter
relating to EU Project compliance.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE POST

To deliver, roll out, review, train and support appropriate staff to
deliver the Consent Education Project within a range of educational
settings targeting three groups **Apply on the website** to **Apply on

Traveller young people (and their parents).

To network with a range of stakeholders to ensure the development and
up take of the programme and its concurrent staff training piece
across educational and other settings.

To support and administer the evaluation of the various iterations of
the Consent Education Project

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT WORKER (WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONSENT EDUCATION PROJECT
) WILL WORK WITH THE Grade VII, Project Manager DOMESTIC SEXUAL AND
GENDER BASED VIOLENCE SERVICES PROGRAMME AND THE RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS
TO:

STANDARDS

* Adhere to relevant procurement and financial legislation,
regulations and standards and comply with same.
* Work as part of a team across a multiagency setting.
* Establish effective working relationships with internal and
external stakeholders across statutory agencies, non-governmental
organisations and others.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of Better Outcomes, Brighter
Futures, child protection, dynamics of power & control and sexual
violence.

ADMINISTRATIVE

* Maintain up to date records and contact lists on all implementation
and possible implementation sites for internal and external reporting
requirements.
* Ensure the review and evaluation tasks, related paperwork are
completed, collated and centralised, evidencing same.
* Link with all Project personnel (Project Manager, Project Workers
and Project Coordinator) to ensure on all aspects of the
administration of the project deliverables are in line with best
practice.
* Support aspects of document development for projects.
* Support budget management and procurement processes.
* Develop close contacts with education providers and other
stakeholders e.g. young people, boards of management, parent groups,
as appropriate.
* Maintain a database of all educational and other project contacts,
requests, roll outs and number of young person?s/ educators reached
and outcomes.
* Administer pre and post programme review questionnaires and
evaluation sheets, maintaining records of same
* Generate project reports maintain project records.

DELIVERY

* Develop, deliver and review the programme interventions to
educators, sexual violence service providers, Traveller groups, and
other relevant stakeholders.
* Mentor and support the programme delivery to a varied group (ages
and backgrounds) of young people
* Develop, support and administer good practice safety protocols for
programme participants across the continuum with sexual violence
service providers and relevant child protection personnel.
* Be open to new ideas and ways of working with the ability to
relate positively and empathetically but without collusion.
* Target minority populations who are likely to be excluded from
mainstream education.
* Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines
and safe financial practice and adhere to relevant legislation,
regulations and standards.
* Contribute to development and implementation of evaluation and
monitoring mechanisms for projects, in particular to establish an
evidence base around effective education and prevention strategies for
young people relevant to sexual violence.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

* Maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge
by participating in continuous professional development initiatives
and attendance at training as appropriate.
* Attend supervision in line with employer policy.

* Support the preparation and issuing of documentation
(correspondence, reports etc) to the highest possible standard

* Where appropriate establish and maintain records of attendance,
statistical information, annual returns, and any other information as
may be requested.

Family Agency protocols for implementing and maintaining these
standards as appropriate to the role.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE

CANDIDATES MUST BY THE CLOSING DATE?POSSESS THE FOLLOWING AS RELEVANT
TO THE ROLE: -

* Hold a recognised qualification in a relevant discipline
(counselling, social work, youth work, psychology, community
development, education etc)
* Significant experience in group work, facilitative training, youth
and sexual violence or similar programme delivery.
* Experience with working in multi-agency and/or cross-sectoral
environments in the delivery of agreed outcomes.
* Experience of working on projects related to social change and/or
domestic, sexual and gender based violence.
* Experience of evidence based programmes and evaluation processes,
and administration of feedback forms.
* Experience of maintaining stakeholder relationships in a complex
environment.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge
of the duties of the office.

HEALTH A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully
competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office
and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable
prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

* Have significant experience of working in the areas of group
facilitation and group work
* Demonstrate clear understanding of child welfare and protection
policy & its implementation.
* Have significant experience of working as part of a
multidisciplinary team and interagency working
* Have experience of evidence based programmes in contexts such as;
youth work, working with minority groups, Traveller, sexual violence
prevention and education.
* Have experience of community development and capacity building.
* Demonstrate a broad understanding of issues and responses in some
or all of the areas of sexual violence, domestic violence and gender
based violence.
* Understand the development and delivery of education and
prevention programmes.
* Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
* Experience in evaluation and evidence gathering approaches.

COMMUNICATION & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Demonstrate:

* Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in order to
deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
* Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to deliver complex
information in understandable terms.
* Excellent written communication skills including report writing
* Capacity to communicate effectively across a wide range of
professionals and agencies.
* Capacity to facilitate groups with young people including
involving sensitive content.
