SUPPORT WORKER

ABOUT US

Our Mission is to provide housing and care for people living with
HIV/AIDS where they can live with hope and dignity in a
non-judgemental and non-discriminatory environment. Care is provided
by 5 full-time Staff at the Project - a Co-ordinator of Care and 4
Care Facilitators.

The provision of accommodation is an integral part of the Project. It
not only provides for the physical needs of the Residents, but it
gives them a sense of security and restores their dignity.

In many cases this gives them the confidence to reach out to family
and friends from whom they may have been estranged for many years, and
thus opens the way to reconciliation and renewed relationships.,

QUALIFICATION ESSENTIAL

* A minimum of 5 years? experience in a care/addiction setting
* Professional qualification desirable
* Experience in service user support and engagement

SKILLS DESIRABLE

* Ability to manage crisis intervention, challenging behaviour in a
competent and professional manner.
* Excellent listening and communication skills
* Have knowledge of mental health/addiction support.
* To be able to work as part of a team in a professional manner.

HOURS/SALARY

Hours will be 8am -4pm Thursday and Friday 9 to 7 Saturday and Sunday
inclusive every second week.
