This is an exciting time to be involved in our organisation as we
transition people from a Residential Service to their own homes in the
community. CIDP is committed to ensuring that the people in our
service are empowered to live the best life possible.

The Catholic Institute for Deaf People (CIDP) is seeking a Community
Nurse Manager to provide support to the people who live in St
Joseph?s House and for people in their own homes. Our vision is to
support people to live an inclusive life with equal opportunities
empowering each person to shape and direct their future.

PURPOSE

INITIAL PURPOSE: Along with the management team, support the
transition from residential to community living; ensuring each
individual is supported to live a self ? directed life. Providing
Clinical Governance to ensure quality and compliance whilst
implementing clear structures, polices and processes. This will
include travelling to homes in the community to perform quality,
compliance, and governance audits, compiling reports, and inputting
into improvement and support plans.

ONGOING PURPOSE: To work with the staff team to develop and implement
best practice in clinical governance and quality, maintaining
oversight of and addressing issues in relation to clinical governance,
regulatory requirements, and compliance. The Community Nurse Manager
will need to keep up to date with regulatory bodies and any changes
within the Healthcare/Social Care/Disability sectors.

THE PERSON: The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the
ethos of St Joseph?s Residential and Community Service; which is to
empower people to live self-directed lives and to be as independent as
possible while in St Joseph?s House or being supported in the
community. The successful candidate will actively promote the rights
of the individuals living in the Community and SJH by ensuring they
are fully involved in all aspects of their healthcare assessments.
Liaise and collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager in the boarding
campus to ensure consistency in approach to clinical needs across the
organisation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* A registered Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by An Bord
Altranais
* FETAC Level 3 and 4- Sign Language within **Apply on the website**
months of commencing employment with CIDP. (CIDP will finance this
qualification)
* Management qualifications
* IT skills
