ACCREDITED COUNSELLOR / PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is _the _national charity supporting over

children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail
older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with
chronic illnesses or addiction. We provide a range of services and

resource centres nationwide.

Family Carers Ireland is seeking a qualified and accredited candidate
to fill the role of a part-time Counsellor /Psychotherapist in our
rapidly growing National Counselling Service.

This role will deliver **Apply on the website** hours of one-to-one
counselling online or by phone each week, support the administration
and evaluation of the service, and provide support to the National
Lead for Psychosocial Supports.

ROLE CRITERIA: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA.

* Honours Degree in Psychotherapy or Counselling;
* Accredited with IACP, IAHIP, PSI or a comparable accrediting body;
* Excellent IT skills;
* Fluency in English (written and verbal);
* Full drivers? licence, with access to car.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

* Experience delivering counselling virtually;
* Experience of supporting the mental health of family carers;
* Experience delivering counselling within a time-bound framework;
* The ability to prioritise tasks and work within a dynamic
environment;
* Experience working in a highly confidential environment;
* Flexibility in attitude and approach to the job and a willingness
to help others;
* A reflective approach to their work and a willingness to learn and
desire to implement a culture of continuous improvement;
* A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail;
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish
rapport with a diverse range of people;
* The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a
team.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: SIX (6) MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT and PART-TIME

will initially be based from home as per Covid-**Apply on the
website** guidelines. Once it is allowable, the successful candidate
will be based at one of Family Carers Ireland locations in the
midlands. Three (3) hours of group supervision will be provided per
