THE ORGANISATION

Safe Ireland is the National Social Change Agency working to eliminate
domestic violence in Ireland. We believe that Ireland can become the

JOB DESCRIPTION

Based in Dublin and reporting to the CEO the Donor Relationship
Officer will maintain and strengthen Safe Irelands relationships with
its existing donors, as well as encourage new donors to give, in order
to guarantee sustainable fundraising income. The Donor Relationship
Officer is being recruited to manage each donor type through their
life cycle of giving to Safe Ireland, including individual donors,
corporate partners and major givers to the Agency.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

* Increase public awareness of Safe Ireland and its work;
* Establish Governance procedures which promote accountability and
income generation;
* Develop a fundraising strategy;
* Develop our digital and social media as core to future fundraising
activities;
* Develop multiple income streams with planned and considered
approaches for cash donations, community fundraising, events;
* Develop and grow a donor database to enable profiling and deliver
a relationship management approach to fundraising within the
requirements of data protection legislation;
* Conduct an ongoing evaluation of work to develop the most
effective methods of fundraising to inform our on-going fundraising
work;
* Provide clear sign posting for donations, deal with queries and
acknowledge donations promptly;
* Develop and support a network of volunteers who want to raise
funds in their communities for Safe Ireland;

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Established working knowledge in the areas of donor stewardship and
relationship management.
* Established knowledge in the area of corporate partnerships and
individual fundraising is highly desirable.
* Understanding and appreciation of the dynamics of a complex,
national, membership organisation and how this both contributes and
constrains the work.
* Excellent donor relationship management/stewardship skills are
required.
* Excellent donor/customer database management and IT skills are
required.
* Excellent communications, event management and presentation skills
are required.
* Ability to manage and maintain donor relationships across various
donor types.
* Excellent range of IT skills (including Microsoft Office and
Teams)
* Able to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.
* Able to communicate information clearly and concisely using the
most appropriate method.
* Ability to collate, analyse and share information.
* Must be flexible with the ability to multitask.
* Attention to detail and ability to plan ahead while managing a
wide and busy workload.
* Effective communication skills
* Positive and proactive approach to work planning and time
management.
* Confident working under pressure and managing competing
priorities.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Email, and Internet.
* Very strong organizational, time management, people management,
analytical and problem solving skills.
* Very good communication and written skills.
* Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
* Ability to maintain attention to detail at all times and work to
the highest quality standards.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.

users, a multitude of professionals and key stakeholders.
